Chuangdong Transmission

Taian Chuangdong New Material Technology Co., Ltd, located in Taian City, Shandong Province, was founded in 2008 and specialises in the research and development of planetary transmission technology products. The factory is well equipped with German-imported boring machines, machining centres, gear hobbing machines, CNC lathes and drilling machines, as well as gear testing and finished-product load testing equipment.

The factory has developed a series of planetary transmission mechanisms used in lifting machinery, rescue vehicles, aerial work platforms, marine exploration machinery and petroleum machinery, using advanced CAD, PDM and CAPP design systems. The spur and helical cylindrical gears meet ISO grade 3-5 accuracy, with an annual output of 2 million pieces.

Main products include lifting and slewing mechanisms for 4–600 ton all-terrain and crawler cranes; hydraulic winches and slewing mechanisms for 4–60 ton recovery vehicles; and lifting and slewing mechanisms for 8–16 ton, 18–42 metre aerial work platforms. Travel reducers, lifting and slewing mechanisms for 50–600 ton crawler cranes were included in the 2010 National Torch Program industrialisation project, and the company was named a "Customer Satisfaction Unit" by the China Quality Management Association.

Chuangdong co-develops products with major equipment manufacturers and cooperates with the Shandong Provincial Academy of Mechanical Design, Shandong University and Dalian University of Technology. Products are sold throughout China and exported to the United States, Russia, Canada and India.
